Low Insurance Rating:
The cash insurance rating tells you the amount of cash the safe is designed to protect, from £1,000 to £3,000 (times the cash rating by 10 for valuables rating). If you are going through your insurance, they will tell you what cash or valuable insurance rating you will need.
Medium Insurance Rating:
The cash insurance rating tells you the amount of cash the safe is designed to protect, from £4,000 to £17,500 (times the cash rating by 10 for valuables rating). If you are going through your insurance, they will tell you what cash or valuable insurance rating you will need.
High Insurance Rating:
The cash insurance rating tells you the amount of cash the safe is designed to protect, from £35,000 to £150,000 (times the cash rating by 10 for valuables rating). If you are going through your insurance, they will tell you what cash or valuable insurance rating you will need.
Locking:
Key locks come as standard to most of the safes which will be supplied with 2 keys.
Electronic locks can come with override key but this will most likely be on budget safes, they also have a variety of security settings depending on the lock itself.
Fingerprint lock can be activated via fingerprint or a code.
Dual lock will be on the higher insurance rated safes, this is where the safe has 2 individual locks to gain access in to the safe.
Fixing Hole:
Floor fixing holes are place through the bottom of the safe.
Wall fixing holes are placed through the back of the safe.
Floor or Wall fixing are placed through the bottom and the back of the safe, but please be aware that the fixing bolt can only be used for either the floor or wall and not both.
None fixing holes is where the safe does not have any fixing holes this due to the material used on the safe to protect from fire.
Insurance Approved:
All safes have an insurance rating but not all safe have been approved by the Association of Insurance Surveyors (AiS). Before purchasing a safe for insurance purposes please look out for the AiS logo
Fire Rating for Paper:
The fire rating for paper protects important paper documents and files (deeds, ownership documents, birth certificates, passports, wills, etc) in the event of a fire. Our document fire safes and fire cabinets for maintain a lower internal temperature for up to 2 hours (30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes)
Fire Rating for Digital Media:
The fire rating for digital media help protect items such as CDs, DVDs, USB Sticks, Memory cards, Digital Cameras, iPods, Mobile Phones, MP3 players, Portable hard drives in an event of a fire for up to 60 minutes.
Fire Rating for Data:
The fire rating for data is to protect items such as diskettes, floppy discs, cassettes tapes, audio tapes and video tape. The safes are tested to ensure they maintain an internal temperature of 52°C or below. EN 1047 (sometimes referred to as VDMA 24911), NT Fire 017 and UL 72 are standards you will often see referred to along with the certification awarded (e.g. S 60 DIS or NT Fire 017-120 DIS)
Key Hooks:
The key hooks are for key cabinets only. Starting from 20 hooks all the way up to 2160 hooks. These will include standing key cabinets, installed to a wall cabinets and also portable key boxes.
